Do you want to learn more about preparing for college? Mark your calendar for Monday, February 19th on the campus of Prairie View A&M University, Prairie View, TX. The workshop will focus on the basics of planning for college including admission tests, academic requirements, major/degree selection, and financial aid. Deadline for submitting the Bexar County Extension Master Gardener Intern Training - Class #62 application is Friday, February 9. Classes begin February 21 and end May 16 and will be held each Wednesday, 12:00 noon - 4:00 p.m., at the Bexar County Extension Office (3355 Cherry Ridge, Suite 208), unless otherwise instructed; cost is $260. A Healthy Lawns & Healthy Waters Program will be conducted February 23, 1:00-5:00 p.m., (agenda) at the Bexar County Extension Office (3355 Cherry Ridge, Suite 208). Program participants can pick up a soil sample bag and instructions at the Bexar County Extension Office at least one day prior to the training and bring the soil and completed form to the program for a FREE routine soil analysis (one per family); the program is FREE but online registration is required.
