January 8 & 15 (Tuesdays), from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m., will be the 2019 Bexar County Beef Cattle Short Course, at Palo Alto College in the Ozuna Library, 1400 Villaret Blvd., San Antonio. Cost will be $15.00 per session and pre-registration is requested. CEUs for Licensed Private Applicators are available; see flyer for details. Registration begins each Tuesday at 5:30 p.m., with the program beginning at 6:30 p.m.
January 11 (Friday) will kick off the 2019 Brown Bag Lunch & Learn programs to be conducted the 2nd Friday of each month, 12:00 noon – 1:00 p.m., at the Bexar County Extension Office (3355 Cherry Ridge, Suite 208). The sessions will provide horticulture information on consumer horticulture. Sessions are FREE and no RSVP is required.
February 6 (Wednesday) will kick off the Earth-Kind Home Gardening Series to be conducted 6:30 – 8:30 p.m. at the Bexar County Extension Office (3355 Cherry Ridge, Suite 208). The 10-session series will be conducted on selected Wednesdays through June 19. Series topics will help participants to maximize their garden and landscape while preserving and protecting the environment. Cost is $75 for the entire series (10 sessions) or $15 per session, and online registration is required.
