Cultivate! is an earth-friendly gardening and landscaping expo, presented by the Bexar County Master Gardeners of the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service. A South Region Landowner Series will be conducted this fall with sessions held in Bexar, Kerr, Atascosa, and Medina counties. Pesticide CEUs will be offered. Cost will be $15/class or $30 for the series for individuals and $25/class or $50 for the series for couples. See the flyer for session details and RSVP information.
County Council/Adult Leaders meeting is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 21st, 7:00 p.m. at the Helotes Activity Center. Each 4-H club had the opportunity to elect two Club Delegate Officers in September, however, if you only elected one, the Club President can act as the second delegate. When a voting decision is required at the council meetings, every club is allowed two votes, one per delegate. Yes, it’s that time of year again to think about selling chocolate….Fundraising is an important task for the Bexar County 4-H Program. The money raised is used to pay for the pins and medals your members receive at the Awards Program in August. It helps to reimburse members for entry fees who attend District contests and much more. The 2017 District 10 4-H Conference will be held Saturday, September 30th, 2017 at Comfort High School in Comfort, TX.78013. This conference gives youth and adults from around the district (20 counties) the opportunity to expand their 4-H knowledge by highlighting projects from different areas. All Heifers to be shown at the 2017 Bexar County Junior Livestock Show and 2018 Major Livestock Shows are required to be validated.
