If you reside in a county outside Bexar County and want to join Bexar County 4-H, you must abide by the article of information below. But, if you attend a Bexar County school, you can disregard this notice.
A youth is required to participate in the county 4-H Program of his/her residence. If, for some circumstance, a youth needs to participate in an adjacent county, the family must submit a “Membership Transfer Form” here to the County Extension Office where they reside or attend school for consideration. The “Membership Transfer Form” will be reviewed and agreed upon by the Extension Agents in the two counties, the District 4-H Specialist, District Extension Administrator, Associate Director for County Operations, and the Texas 4-H Youth Development Program Director.
The form must be submitted a minimum of thirty (30) days prior to membership transfer.
If approved, the transfer agreement is good only for the current 4-H year and must be submitted for approval annually.
If a 4-H member does not meet one of the following criteria, they must submit a transfer application form:
In saying that, please keep in mind that transfers can only be to adjacent counties. If you have any questions, please contact us.
