Fishing Camp – Open to Non – 4-H’ers

Participants grades 2 - 11  will have the opportunity to learn everything they need to know about fishing in Texas waters, from creating lures to permit laws.  They will get to participate in their favorite events such as challenge course, dances and more.  Mark your calendar for July 24-26 at the 4-H Center in Brownwood.  Cost is $220/youth or $110/adult.  Registration is done at http://texas4hcenter.tamu.edu by June 14th.  Camp is on a first come, first serve basis.  See more information here.

2017 Children’s Vegetable Garden Program

August 19 (Saturday) - December 2, 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon, at the San Antonio Botanical Garden, will be the Fall 2017 Children's Vegetable Garden Program for children ages 8-13 to get hands-on horticulture experience; cost is $40 per plot for 1 child or $60/shared plot for 2 children. This program provides an opportunity for children to grow their own vegetables and ornamental plants with the help of instructors from the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service and Bexar County Master Gardener volunteers.
