The BCJLS will award twelve (12) $500 scholarships to graduating seniors at the 2017 Auction of Champions on Saturday, Jan. 7th, 2017. For guidelines and application visit the shows website at http://www.bcjls.com/scholarship.htm click on Scholarship Application Form. Application is due to the stock show office by Wednesday, Nov. 23rd.
Our office is closed for Thanksgiving holiday. If you are trying to meet a deadline, there is a drop slot in the front door of S-212.
If you are 13 and older, you may be interested in becoming a School Tour Guide. Guides will tour small children around the stock show grounds during the San Antonio Stock Show in February. Guide names are due to our office by Friday, Nov. 25th. School Tour dates are tentative Feb. 13, 14, 15, 16 & 17. Members must be enrolled in a Bexar County 4-H Club and be academically eligible to participate. Contact your Club Manager if you are interested in participating in school tours.

Please help our Youth Outreach Program develop a yearly fundraising calendar by contributing photos of your blue ribbon photography, artwork, competition, crafts and/or your club in action. The Bexar County Dog Squad is a competitive 4-H dog club that focuses on learning all aspects of dog care and training with the emphasis on competing at the State Dog Show in July. All 4-H members with any type of dog are welcome to join. These workshops are open to all 4-H ages and are a learning series to help youth meet their required learning lessons in the veterinary science project. Some lessons will be in a classroom, but several lessons will be hands on. National Conference is a working conference where youth and adults assist in the development of recommendations to help guide 4-H Youth Development Programs nationally and in their communities. The program will be held in Chevy Chase, Maryland at the National 4-H Center with travel into Washington, DC. Dates for 2017 are March 25-30. Youth, ages 15-18, are eligible to apply. Applications are accepted in 4-H Connect through December 15.
