If you are 12 years old (before August 31, 2016) and will not be past your junior year in high school, you are eligible to participate in the calf scramble. If selected to scramble, you will attend a rodeo performance and attempt to catch a calf. If you catch, you will receive a certificate to purchase an animal project that you will exhibit at the show the following year. These workshops are open to all 4-H ages and are a learning series to help youth meet their required learning lessons in the veterinary science project. Some lessons will be in a classroom, but several lessons will be hands on. Yes, it’s that time of year again to sell chocolate….Fundraising is an important task for the Bexar County 4-H Program. The money raised is used to pay for the pins and medals your members receive at the Awards Program in August. It helps to reimburse members for entry fees who attend District contests and much more. What difference can you make in one day? Saturday, October 8th is the 2016 One Day 4-H Community Service Day. Any and all 4-H members, parents, and friends can participate in this day designated as a day of community service for all 4-H members. 4-H clubs/members select their project and then plan, implement, and tell about them. It can be something as easy as mowing a lawn to hosting a 5K race to benefit a certain cause. It's all about helping others and making a difference!
