These workshops are open to all 4-H ages and are a learning series to help youth meet their required learning lessons in the veterinary science project.  Some lessons will be in a classroom, but several lessons will be hands on. This scholarship is for high school seniors who have been involved in 4-H for four years, have shown leadership and personal development, plan to get a college or vocational degree, and have not passed their 19th birthday by January 1, 2017.  Scholarship is due to our office by Wednesday, February 15, 2017. One of the best assets youth gain from their 4-H experience is the ability to speak before an audience.  Members practice this skill while giving reports, running meetings, teaching peers and in our formal 4-H Public Speaking Contest….this is called Roundup.   Members can enter as an individual or a team.   They can use posters, slides or power point for their presentation. Judging contests are designed for teams of 3 - 4 members in the same age division (Junior – grades 3 - 5, Intermediate (grades 6 - 8, Senior – Grades 9 - 12) to demonstrate their skills in evaluation and observation.  Members use  the knowledge and skills they have about the subject matter to place the class from best to worst and  also develop public speaking skills through learning how to present reasons on why they placed a class as they did.  Registration will be on 4-H Connect from Mar....
