Baked Foods Contest – DUE

This contest is held during the San Antonio Stock Show on Saturday, Feb. 11th.  There are three age divisions. Elementary: 6 - 10 years old, Junior: 11 - 13 years old, Senior: 14 - 18 years old.  There are 12 Food Classes to select from.  Entry form and guidelines are available here.   Each contestant can have one entry per class.   A $3.00 per class entry fee must be sent in with the entry form.  All entry forms must be mailed and postmarked by Tuesday, February 7, 2017.  

Vet Science Workshop

These workshops are open to all 4-H ages and are a learning series to help youth meet their required learning lessons in the veterinary science project.  Some lessons will be in a classroom, but several lessons will be hands on. The Texas Extension Education Association (TEEA) Scholarship – DUE

This scholarship is for high school seniors who have been involved in 4-H for four years, have shown leadership and personal development, plan to get a college or vocational degree, and have not passed their 19th birthday by January 1, 2017.  Scholarship is due to our office by Wednesday, February 15, 2017. County Fashion Show, Fashion Storyboard and Duds to Dazzle Contests- DUE

Mark your calendar for the County Fashion Show, Fashion Storyboard and Duds to Dazzle contest on  Saturday, Mar. 24th at the Helotes Activity Center.   Entry forms are due to our office by Wednesday, March 1st.  Entry forms and guidelines are available on our website  http://bexar-tx.tamu.edu/4h-youth-development/contests/ under the County Fashion Show tab. Fashion Show and Fashion Storyboard are free.  Duds to Dazzle is $10 per team (3-5 members).

Private Applicator License Training

Study manuals can be purchased for $50 in advance from the Extension Office. Make check/money order payable to "Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service".   In addition, a $10 registration fee will be collected on the day of the training. The Bexar County Dog Squad is a competitive 4-H dog club that focuses on learning all aspects of dog care and training with the emphasis on competing at the State Dog Show in July. District 4-H Meats Judging Contest -DUE
