Information: This entomology practice  is a fantastic opportunity for young naturalists to explore the vast world of insects and related arthropods. Members will learn how to identify orders/species of insects, interact with live specimens, and study under a certified entomologist. If you are 12 years old (before August 31, 2018) and will not be past your junior year in high school, you are eligible to participate in the calf scramble.  If selected to scramble, you will attend a rodeo performance and attempt to catch a wild calf.  If you catch a calf, you will receive a certificate to purchase an animal, you then are required to exhibit it at the show the following year. This FREE 4-H Scholarship Work Night will be an educational workshop on how to apply for the 4-H Opportunity Scholarship. 4-H Members and Adult leaders are welcome to attend. The School Tours program gives young students and their teachers the opportunity to learn about the past and present methods of agriculture. School Tours are offered to students in Kindergarten through third grade attending public, private and home schools. High School aged students of the 4-H, FFA and FCCLA organizations from South Texas are invited each year to serve as Tour Guides for this committee.
