The purpose of the Fashion Show is to give our members an opportunity to show their talents and abilities. This is not a judged competition; it is simply a time when young people can show off a garment that they have made. The garment(s) can be created from a purchased pattern, an original design or a redesign of a garment. Deadline to enter is Wednesday, Feb. 1st, 2017. For more information click here.
Online registration is required; no walk-ins will be accepted. Registration is 8:30 - 9:00 a.m. with the training starting at 9:00 a.m. Click here for details and registration information.
This contest is held during the San Antonio Stock Show on Saturday, Feb. 11th. There are three age divisions. Elementary: 6 - 10 years old, Junior: 11 - 13 years old, Senior: 14 - 18 years old. There are 12 Food Classes to select from. Entry form and guidelines are available here. Each contestant can have one entry per class. A $3.00 per class entry fee must be sent in with the entry form. All entry forms must be mailed and postmarked by Tuesday, February 7, 2017.
Be creative! Show off your red wagon or wheelbarrow on Saturday, February 11th at the San Antonio Stock Show by decorating it to showcase your club projects. Guidelines are available here.

Study manuals can be purchased for $50 in advance from the Extension Office. Make check/money order payable to "Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service". This show is open to any adults and youth, you do not need to be enrolled in 4-H. All events are Saturday, March 4th at the Country Church, 1005 FM 78, Marion 78124. The Bexar County Dog Squad is a competitive 4-H dog club that focuses on learning all aspects of dog care and training with the emphasis on competing at the State Dog Show in July. All 4-H members with any type of dog are welcome to join. This year, the kids will be learning about Texas Snakes & Reptiles, Birds of Prey from wildlife experts, Tarantulas and Insects, Horticulture, and do some birding with an ornithology expert. We’ll perform experiments with owl pellets, insects, and some microbiology, and get to hold live animals, insects, snakes, reptiles, and get up close and personal with some birds of prey. Learn how to plant a spring vegetable garden for you and your family by attending the Planting a Spring Vegetable Garden program, 7:00-8:30 p.m., at Blue Star Brewing Company (1414 S. Alamo, Ste. #105). The program is FREE, and no registration is required. This program will provide 1.5 CEUs for Master Gardeners.
