Terrariums Program

Environmental awareness is becoming more important daily with today’s youth becoming less aware of the effects their daily lives have on their environment. Through this program youth will learn the workings of a proper ecosystem by building a terrarium and touring the conservatory at the San Antonio Botanical Garden. (This program is partnered with the San Antonio Botanical Garden.)

The Youth Gardens Program of Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Services is please to say that mini-grants will be allotted to schools that have met and can support proof of set criteria. Each school will be eligible to receive the grant once every school year and the grant will act as a reimbursement. Mini-grants will be given on a first come, first served basis. This mini-grant is provided by a support from the San Antonio Livestock Expo.
