  • Pecan trees are providing large harvests. Pecans in the shell will maintain their quality for four months at room temperatures.
  • Plant pansies. Violas (Johnny Jump-Ups) are perfect border plants for pansy beds.
  • Plant dianthus, pansies, violas, stocks, ornamental kale, and snapdragons for winter color in your flower beds.
  • Reduce the fertilization of indoor plants until mid-March. An exception would be plants in an atrium or a well lighted window.
