TEXAS AGRILIFE EXTENSION SERVICE

BEXAR COUNTY BY DAVID RODRIGUEZ

Drain gasoline on idle power tools for the winter by running the engine until fuel in the carburetor is used up.

Drain and store garden hoses and watering equipment in a readily accessible location. The lawn and plants may need water during a prolonged dry spell.

Protect your lawn from excessive winter damage by providing irrigation during dry periods. This would include a deep watering once or twice a month, if we do not receive any significant rainfalls.

Winter berrying plants, such as hollies, may be pruned now while they can be enjoyed as cut material inside the house.
