- Look for bagworms on junipers and arborvitae. Use Bt. or spinosad, both organic controls, Sevin dust or liquid or a big hammer.
- Remove faded flowers from plants before they set seeds. This will produce more flowers this season.
- Treat cannas for leaf roller worms with Bt or spinosad products when the worms are small or with neem oil or Immunox Plus.
- Check your irrigation system for leaks or misaligned heads. Make repairs early in the season to conserve water and eliminate stress to the plants.
