Harvest broccoli florets and freeze what you can’t use. If cool weather continues, broccoli will continue to produce. Leave a few plants to enjoy their wonderful dainty yellow blossoms which attract beneficial insects like bees.

Supplement feed fall planted strawberries once with one pound of Texas greensand acidifier per 15 linear row feet and every third week with a 4-2-3 fertilizer analysis. Such essential nutrition will provide you with one pint of berries per plant from April through mid-May.

Timing is crucial when applying fertilizer to any plant in order for it to be utilized most efficiently. Always follow recommended applications rates and frequency of application. Provide an adequate amount of water after applying any organic or synthetic fertilizer because both types can burn.
