Do you like sewing? Do you like to design? Are you into fashion? Information: Fun hands on training to learn more about the Duds to Dazzle and Storyboard Contests. On Saturday, March 10, from 10:30 a.m. - 12:00 noon, David Rodriguez, County Extension Agent-Horticulture, will give a presentation on the Family Home Vegetable Garden. The presentation will be conducted at Milberger's Landscaping & Nursery (3920 North Loop 1604 East) from 10:30 a.m. - 12:00 noon. This is a FREE program and no RSVP is required.

This show is open to anyone ages 5 - 18, you do NOT have to be enrolled in 4-H. Spread the word to your friends and school classmates who would like to show off their creative skills. You can enter photos, metal projects, art projects, crafts and much more. The show is scheduled for Friday, Mar. 16th at the Helotes Activity Center, 12132 Leslie Rd, Helotes, TX 78023. The 2018 Spring Break Nature Camp will be held March 12-15, 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. each day, and is for youth ages 6-11. This 4-day camp will include real birds of prey, a field trip to the San Antonio Botanical Gardens, a terrarium lesson, herpetology, dissections, poultry lessons (including watching live chicks hatch), and tons of activities, games, and experiments! There is limited space, so sign up soon! Cost is $125 and online registration is required.

Information: This board offers 4-H members (age 13 – 18) and adult volunteer leaders an opportunity to help determine and expand the 4-H rabbit program by recommending and implementing special activities and new project ideas. Recordbooks are a great way to keep track of what you have done in 4-H. Make sure you take lots of pictures of you and the projects you participate in. Keep track of what you did and when you did it. There will be a Recordbook Training on Thursday, Mar. 22nd, 6:30 p.m. at the County Extension office in S-208. Forms are available on the State 4-H site http://texas4-h.tamu.edu/recordbooks/. Recordbook covers are $3 each and available for purchase in our office.
Information: $1,000 one-time scholarship awarded to an individual from a Bexar County high school. Guidelines and application are available here. Date: Application is due by March 23, 2018 to the Capital Farm Credit office.

The 2018 Spring Youth Garden Educator Training will be held Saturday, March 24, 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at the San Antonio Botanical Gardens. Registration is $20 and includes lunch. Information: The Texas 4-H Fashion and Interior Design Ambassador Program strives to provide members entering 10 – 12 grades the opportunity to develop and practice advanced leadership skills to mentor other youth, and to become knowledgeable representatives for the Fashion & Interior Design project.
