Camp Outdoor Challenge – DUE

This year the challenge will be held on July 10 – 12 at the Texas 4-H Center, Brownwood  and is open to youth in grades 2nd – 11th.   Events will include: Outdoor Skills, Arrow Making, Knot Tying and much more.  Registration is done at http://texas4hcenter.tamu.edu and will be open through  June 14th .  Cost is $180/youth and $90/adult.    For more information visit the State 4-H website at . http://texas4hcenter.tamu.edu.

Texas 4-H Shooting Sports State Games – DUE

Hunting & Wildlife, Muzzle Loading, Pistol & Rifle Events – July 9 – 14, at the Austin Rifle Club, Manor.  Archery Events – July 16 – 22 at the National Shooting Complex, San Antonio.  Shotgun Events – July 18-22 at the National Shooting Complex, San Antonio. Broiler order is due to our office by Monday, June 19th.  Please fill out the order form available here.  Minimum order per exhibitor/family is 25 chicks, maximum order is 75, in increments of 25 .  – Each exhibitor MAY order an individual set of birds (up to 75) OR siblings within the same household may order and share a set of birds (up to 75).  Cost is $1.25 per chick.  Make your check payable to Bexar 4-H Fund.

Non-Commercial Political Subdivision Pesticide Applicator License Training

One Club Manager from each club is requested to attend one of these trainings.  Friday,  June 23rd – 10:00 – 11:30 a.m. or 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. at the 4-H Office in S-208.  Everything you will need to start the new 4-H year (Sept. 2017 – Aug. 2018) will be available at this training.  Clubs must charter every year. Junior Feed Beef Career & Leadership Program

Summer Bug Camp #1 – FULL (Waiting List Available)

Youth camp geared for ages 7 and up.  Campers will collect insects, assemble collection, perform experiments and activities with insects, learn how to identify insects and how they are important and get the chance to see and hold lots of live bugs! Campers receive an insect collection kit (net, forceps, killing jar, pins, spreading boards, magnifier, booklet, pens, collection box, vials, and collecting bag).  Come join us for the fun!
