Do you want to go to college???? Learn how to earn scholarships through 4-H by attending this training on Monday, Jan. 16th at the 4-H Office, 6:30 p.m. Members and adults are welcome to attend. For more information click here.
These workshops are open to all 4-H ages and are a learning series to help youth meet their required learning lessons in the veterinary science project. Some lessons will be in a classroom, but several lessons will be hands on. The Bexar Agriculture/Natural Resources Committee will be hosting the 2017 Beef Cattle Short Course on January 12 and January 19 (Thursdays), 2017. County Council/Adult Leaders meeting is scheduled for Thursday, Jan. 19th, 7:00 p.m. at the Helotes Activity Center. At this meeting, we will be discussing the 4-H budget, 4-H Dance and much more. Each 4-H club has the opportunity to elect two Club Delegate Officers, however, if you only elected one, the Club President can act as the second delegate. If you are interested in learning more about the Consumer Decision Making project, mark your calendar for a mock contest on Saturday, Jan. 21st, from 10 a.m. – 12 noon at the 4-H office (3355 Cherry Ridge, SA, Tx. 78230) in S-208. Learn how to get the “biggest bang for your buck” with this project. Members study and compare relative qualities and prices of a set of items to determine which offers the best value for the money. The Texas 4-H Youth Development Program and the Texas 4-H Youth Development Foundation is once again pleased to offer to our senior high school 4-H members the opportunity to apply for an Opportunity Scholarship through the Texas 4-H Youth Development Foundation. The Texas 4-H Youth Development Program will once again host 4-H Day at the Capitol on Wednesday, February 8, 2017. This event is designed as a citizenship experience for 4-H members of all ages to learn more about the state legislative process, as well as meet their state representative and senator through an office visit.
