Festival of Flowers

May 26 (Saturday) will be the 21st Annual Festival of Flowers with David Rodriguez, County Extension Agent-Horticulture, in the lineup to present one of the morning seminars, Create a Tropical Escape--with Texas Superstar™ Plants.  The Festival will be held at the Austin Highway Event Center (1948 Austin Highway) on May 26, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; admission is $7.00 (children under 10 are FREE).

*Mission Possible Camp

This camp is an inclusive camp for youth with medically diagnosed disabilities. Fun activities will include: kayaking, shooting sports, challenge course, arts and crafts, environmental education, swimming, dancing, and lots more. *Fishing Camp

Participants grades 2 - 11  will have the opportunity to learn everything they need to know about fishing in Texas waters, from creating lures to permit laws.  They will get to participate in their favorite events such as challenge course, dances and more.  Mark your calendar for June 20 - 22 at the 4-H Center in Brownwood.  Cost is $220/youth or $110/adult.  Registration is done at  https://texas4hcenter.tamu.edu/ by June 14th.  Camp is on a first come, first serve basis.

July 25-27 (Wednesday, 12 Noon- 5 PM; Thursday, 9 AM - 5 PM, and Friday, 9 AM - Noon)- Come join us for the 2018 Junior Master Gardener (JMG) Adult Leader Training designed for teachers, educators, and volunteers in support of Youth Gardening.  Participants will learn how to establish and sustain a youth garden, how to create a JMG program, receive training in the JMG curriculum, and obtain Continuing Professional Education Hours for the three-day training.
