May 3 (Thursday) – will be session one of the Brush Country Beef 706 Program.  This 3-part series will focus on beef quality management and marketing opportunities for producers.  The May 3 session will be held at the Live Oak Livestock Market Auction (3795 U.S. 281) in Three Rivers, Texas.  Other sessions will be held on October 20 and October 29-30 (see flyer for details).  Cost of the program is $50/participant for all three sessions.

A Beef Cattle Rebuilding Workshop will be held at the Edmond Pruski Ranch (1406 FM 1303, Floresville, TX) on Friday, May 4, from 9:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.  The workshop will include selection and management of replacement females, nutrition, brush management, as well as a chute-side demonstration.  This workshop will provide 2 CEUs (1-General & 1-IPM) for Commercial, Non-commercial, and Licensed Private Applicators.  Cost is $10/participant and lunch will be provided; RSVP by May 2.

Pond Management Program

A Pond Management Program will be conducted on Friday, May 11, from 9:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. at the Guadalupe County Extension Office (210 East Live Oak, Seguin, TX).  The program will focus on aquatic vegetation management, and participants can bring samples of pond weeds to the program for identification.  The program will provide 3 CEUs (2-IPM & 1 Laws & Regs) for Commercial, Non-commercial, and Licensed Private Applicators.  Cost is $15/participant and includes lunch; RSVP by May 7.

This camp is an inclusive camp for youth with medically diagnosed disabilities. Fun activities will include: kayaking, shooting sports, challenge course, arts and crafts, environmental education, swimming, dancing, and lots more. Participants grades 2 - 11  will have the opportunity to learn everything they need to know about fishing in Texas waters, from creating lures to permit laws.  They will get to participate in their favorite events such as challenge course, dances and more.  Mark your calendar for June 20 - 22 at the 4-H Center in Brownwood.  Cost is $220/youth or $110/adult.  Registration is done at  https://texas4hcenter.tamu.edu/ by June 14th.  Camp is on a first come, first serve basis.
