The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service will be closed in observance of the July 4th holiday.
District Recordbook Judging is scheduled for July 7, 2016.
If you are applying for the Gold Star award, you must go through an interview process. Mark you calendar for Friday, July 8th at the County Extension office in S-208.
All club charter paperwork is due to our office by Friday, July 8th.
This special adult workshop has been scheduled with our partners at Blinn College on Friday, July 15, 7:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. at Blinn's agricultural center in Brenham. Please make plans to attend and, also, share this information with others in your county such as coaches, volunteers and leaders. There is a $25.00 registration fee that covers all training materials, lunch and other refreshments. Deadline to register is July 8th. For more information click here.
4-H members from all over the state, ranging in age from 8 to 18 will be competing. All breeds, including mixed, can compete after they have met the minimum requirements. Dog and 4-H member teams can compete in several different classes, such as: obedience, rally, conformation, showmanship, drill team or costume. Texas 4-H Dog Show will be held July 8th – 10th, in Belton, Texas.
A new camp meant especially for 4-H’ers getting into shooting sports. This program is designed to safely introduce kids to shooting. Participants will also get the chance to do their favorite 4-H camp activities such as dances, challenge course and team challenges. We are now accepting registrations for the 2016 Entomology Summer Camp. Flier and registration form are available here. These camps fill up quickly, so be sure to get your registration in soon! Now accepting registrations! We always fill up fast with a long waiting list, so be sure to get registered soon. Campers get the change to learn all about entomology and become junior entomologists. We will perform experiments and activities with insects, get to hold tarantulas, roaches, millipedes and more. Campers will also collect insects and put together an insect collection. Texas 4-H Congress allows 4-H members to experience the law making process first hand by writing, submitting, and then serving as a member of the House of Representatives, the Senate, the Press, or as a Lobbyist. The 2016 District 10 4-H Conference will be held Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Comfort High School in Comfort, TX. This conference will feature four (4) rotating sessions for youth and adults.
