Elections will be held at the County Council Meeting, Thursday, May 21st, 7:00 p.m. Officers will be elected from nominations made from the floor. Election shall be by ballot. A majority constitutes an election. No more than two members from any one club shall be elected to a Council office the same year. No more than one person from a family may serve as an officer at the same time.
-Criteria for Election of Officers:
Officers shall be elected from present or past membership of the Council (any year previously attended as a Club President, Council Delegate or Committee/Task Force Member). A member must have completed 2 years of club work, including the current year, to be eligible for a council office. A member may be eligible to run for office after his 13th birthday. Officers may not have passed their 18th birthday before August 31, of the year in which they are elected. Officers will be elected from nominations made from the floor. Election shall be by ballot. -Voting Body
The voting body shall consist of the two elected delegates from each organized 4-H Club in the County, officers of the Council and Standing Committee Chairmen. Committee members who are not voting delegates may make motions, nominate, suggest or discuss but do not have a vote. A substitute voting delegate attending the 4-H Council meeting must have written consent from the elected delegate to represent their club.
