Spring Break Nature Camp

March 11-13 (Monday-Wednesday), 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m. each day, will be the Spring Break Nature Camp for youth ages 6-11.  The camp will be help at the Bexar County Extension Office (3355 Cherry Ridge, Suite 208).  Cost is $100 and online registration is required.  Your kids won’t want to miss this amazing camp!  We will learn all about nature, including entomology, horticulture, agriculture, wildlife and herpetology from experts in those fields.  Space is limited, and the camp fills up quickly, so register soon!

Junior Entomology Camp – Ages 4-6

Extension Program Specialist Molly Keck invites you to join her for a buggin’ good time!  Camp will be indoors with collecting & activities outdoors.  Check the Entomology Youth Programs page for details and associated costs. This camp is geared toward youth ages 4-6 who have an interest in science and nature–especially insects! Register online as soon as possible if you are interested in attending; space is limited and these camps fill quickly.

Junior Entomology Camps (Ages 4-6)

If you have a young one interested in entomology, insects and nature – join us for our annual Junior Entomology Camp.  Meant for ages 4-6.  Includes collecting insects, playing with live insects, learning about insects, and performing activities and experiments with insects. Summer Entomology (Bug) Camp – Ages 7 and Up

Spring Break Nature Camp

This year, the kids will be learning about Texas Snakes & Reptiles, Birds of Prey from wildlife experts, Tarantulas and Insects, Horticulture, and do some birding with an ornithology expert.  We’ll perform experiments with owl pellets, insects, and some microbiology, and get to hold live animals, insects, snakes, reptiles, and get up close and personal with some birds of prey. Master Volunteer Entomology Specialist Training

We still have room!  This class is designed for Texas Master Gardeners and Master Naturalists who have a desire to learn more about entomology.  While preference is given to these individuals, if there is room, we will open it up to the general public or Master Volunteers outside Texas. $295 – fee includes 3 lunches, 1 dinner, various materials, and an AWESOME insect collection kit with collection box.
