Two of the prettiest blooming compact Texas Sage selections around town include ‘Silverado’ and ‘Lowery’s Legacy.’

Sow zinnia and cosmos seeds for some late summer and early fall color.

Prepare the fall vegetable garden by incorporating generous amounts of enriched compost or aged barn-yard manures with 2 to 3 pounds of 19-5-9 slow release pre-plant fertilizer per every 100 square feet.

Don’t let the weeds get ahead of you in the garden. It’s easy to do because it’s so hot out there. Keeping up with the weeds will pay off in the long run.
