Texas Water Star Program

Jared Beaver, Program Coordinator, Water and Natural Resources, and David Rodriguez, County Extension-Horticulturist, are presenting a workshop that will target Recreational, Public, and Residential Landscape Irrigators and Contractors, Grounds Maintenance Personnel, Retail Nurseries, and other users of urban water resources.  The public is invited.  Event is Feb 14, 2014 from 8:15 am to 4 pm, Reg fee is $50 in advance and $60 at the door.  For more information. Backyard Gardening Series: It’s All About Satsuma Mandarin Oranges

Spring Children’s Vegetable Garden Program

Texas A&M AgriLIFE Extension Service, David Rodriguez, County Extension Agent-Horticulturist, and San Antonio Botanical Garden are now accepting applications for the Spring 2014 Children’s Vegetable Garden beginning Feb 22, 2014.  Registration is $50, applications are now being accepted by the San Antonio Botanical Garden. Master Gardener Intern Training – Class 58

The Master Gardener program provides invaluable training and educational opportunities.  Individuals can advance their gardening expertise, plus gain self-satisfaction through volunteer efforts.  The volunteer aspect of the Master Gardener program allows individuals to dedicate their time and talents to enhancing the quality of life for citizens of their community using the science and art of horticulture.  Registration fee is $250 payable on the first day of class, for more information call 210 467-6575 or Class 58 Application.
