We are seeking adults and youth ready to lead on our Robotics Task Force.  We need your energy and ideas! Bexar County is starting a County wide initiative to grow the Robotics project. Whether you are a novice or advanced your input is valued. Committee will help plan future County Robotics Contest, Challenges and other fun youth activities. Volunteers are needed to help promote 4-H and healthy eating and physical activity lifestyles in our community.  Event is Saturday, April 29th at Lockwood Park, from 9:30 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.  This is a great way to show off your leadership skills and promote 4-H.  More information is available here.

This program is open to 4-H’ers ages 14 – 18 interested in equine science and the horse industry in Texas.  For more information click here.  Deadline is May 1st.

These workshops are open to all 4-H ages and are a learning series to help youth meet their required learning lessons in the veterinary science project.  Some lessons will be in a classroom, but several lessons will be hands on. Mark your calendar for  Tuesday, May 2nd at 6:30 p.m. at the Helotes Activity Center, 12132 Leslie Rd., Helotes, Tx.  78023  Vet Science Curriculum Handbook is available for $79.00, but is not required to attend these workshops.  For more information contact Jackie at jackiewanke@gmail.com.

Everyone is welcome to participate at the District Fashion Show contests on Friday, May 5th at the Fredericksburg United Methodist Church, 1800 North Llano, Fredericksburg, Tx. 78624.  Map, eligibility form and schedule for District show is available here. Parents, legal guardians, and/or chaperones attending this event will be responsible for youth and must remain on-site through the duration of the District Fashion Show.

Dog show will be held on July 7-9 in Belton, Texas.  The dog show is open to all  4-H members who have validated their dog on 4-H CONNECT.  The Dog Show and Project is a great way for any 4-H member having a dog at home to participate in a 4-H project and gain skills in responsibility, caring, and leadership to name a few.  For more information on the dog show and the project click HERE.  Deadline to register is May 8th.

The District Horse Show is scheduled for June 13 - 14, 2016 at the Uvalde County Fairplex - 215 Veterans Ln., Uvalde, Tx.   Registration will be available from May 2nd - May 19th on 4-H Connect.  Fees are $15 for each class, payable by credit card.  Exhibitor may enter as many classes as they wish.  Partial reimbursement will be available from the 4-H Council budget, after the horse show.  More information to include classes, map,  guidelines, etc. are available here.
