National 4-H Congress is the flagship event of the National 4-H program held Nov. 23 – 28 in Atlanta, Georgia. Extension staff, 4-H youth and 4-H adult volunteers analyze current youth issues and determine the most effective ways to address them. 4-H members can apply on 4-H Connect through April 16th. Any horse you plan to ride at the District or State horse shows, need to be validated. Validation is done on a yearly basis, if you validated your horse last year, it will need to be validated again this year. The Bexar County Dog Squad is a competitive 4-H dog club that focuses on learning all aspects of dog care and training with the emphasis on competing at the State Dog Show in July. All 4-H members with any type of dog are welcome to join. Dog show will be held on July 7-9 in Belton, Texas. The dog show is open to all 4-H members who have validated their dog on 4-H CONNECT. The Dog Show and Project is a great way for any 4-H member having a dog at home to participate in a 4-H project and gain skills in responsibility, caring, and leadership to name a few.
