The Bexar County 4-H Horse Leaders is offering a scholarship for graduating seniors.  Application includes your recordbook and a Scholarship Application which is due to our office by Thursday, August 3rd.  Scholarship application is available here.

If you were elected to an club officer position this year or are interested in learning about any officer position, you are welcome to attend the Bexar County 4-H Officer Training on Thursday, August 10th, at the Helotes Activity Center from 1 p.m. - 3 p.m.

The Bexar County 4-H Awards Program welcomes all 4-H youth and their families to celebrate the end of the 2016-2017 4-H Year! Youth who applied for County level awards including Rookie of the Year, Bronze Star, Silver Star, I Dare You Award, and the coveted Gold Star award will be recognized during our program. If you will be exhibiting at the State Fair of Texas Show in Dallas, Sept. 29th – Oct. 22nd, 2017, entries are due to our office by Friday, August 18th.   If you are exhibiting animals, please complete the entry form, certification, release and indemnity agreement and the W-9 IRS forms available here.  Make your check payable to “Bexar 4-H Fund”. If you will  be exhibiting turkeys at the 2017 Bexar County Show or the 2018 San Antonio, Houston or Rodeo Austin stock shows, orders will be due  to our office by Monday, August 21st.  Cost is $4.25 per turkey poult.  Order your  turkey poults on the form available here. This workshop is open to all 4-H members.  Next workshop is scheduled for Wednesday, Aug. 23rd at Kuentz Elementary Library at 6:30 p.m.

If you are planning to exhibit chickens (broilers) at the 2017 Bexar County Junior Livestock Show in December 2017, order your broilers on the form here.  Broilers are $1.80 each.  Minimum order of 25 chicks or maximum order of 50 chicks per exhibitor.  Deadline to order is Friday, September 1st.  There is a drop slot in the front door of S-212 to help you meet this deadline.
