WHO MAY COMPETE – To be eligible for the Bexar County Junior Livestock Show, students must be eight (8) years old on or before September 1st of the current livestock show year, and have entered the third (3rd) grade. An exhibitor must be a Bexar County 4-H Member, FFA or Junior FFA member and must be enrolled and regularly attending a public or private elementary or secondary school of a Bexar County school district or be a permanent resident of Bexar County during the time of the Bexar County Junior Livestock Show and have continuously, personally fed and cared for their animals under the supervision of a 4-H Club Manager or Agriculture Science Teacher throughout the entire required feeding period. No boy or girl who has graduated from high school will be eligible to exhibit in this show. No boy or girl will be eligible to show in the Bexar County Junior Livestock Show if they sell in any other of the surrounding county shows, where school districts overlap into adjoining counties that hold an auction sale within the same calendar year, with the exception of the major shows.

CERTIFICATION OF ELIGIBILITY – Those wishing to exhibit in the Bexar County Junior Livestock show must have a 4-H Club Manager or Agriculture Science Teacher, under whose supervision the animal was fed, certify on the entry form that the animal was fed and conditioned by the exhibitor. Exhibitors suspended under Texas Education Code 33.081 “No Pass, No Play” during any portion of the Bexar County Stock show or Auction are ineligible to participate in any Bexar County Junior Livestock Show activity, event, or competition. Any animal owned by an ineligible exhibitor is ineligible for competition.
