Being an invitational contest, intermediates and seniors are welcome to participate and may register as either an individual or team. scheduled to be during Texas 4-H Roundup on June 7th. Registration through 4-H CONNECT – by May 16^th is required in order to participate in this contest.

All of the resources for the invitational contest are posted online at: http://texas4-h.tamu.edu/projects/food-nutrition/. In addition to the contest information and study guide, there are online practices that have been posted for each of the eight topics included in this year’s contest.  The online practices include a quiz and placing class for youth to complete, and once submitted, they will get a summary of their score. The online practices have been developed to provide youth with a taste of how the contest is set up and give them another study and preparation opportunity prior to participating in the state invitational contest. They can also be used at the local level to showcase this invitational opportunity or simply as an educational learning experience.
