During each rodeo performance at the stock show, you see a bunch of kids in the arena trying to catch a calf; this is called “Calf Scramble”. If you are 12 years old (by August 31, 2017) and will not be past your junior year in high school, you are eligible to participate in the calf scramble. A Fall Vegetable Seminar, will be held on Saturday, October 7, 10:30 a.m. - 12:00 noon, at Fanick’s Garden Center (1025 Holmgreen Road) with David Rodriguez from Texas AgriLife Extension Service showing you how to properly plant, grow and harvest your vegetables; the seminar is free but any donations to the Children's garden is welcomed.
