Collegiate 4-H Scholarship

Students currently enrolled in a Texas college or university and will have successfully completed a minimum of 30 semester hours of college course work will be eligible to apply for this scholarship.

San Antonio Livestock Exposition, Inc., Scholarship

The Bexar County 4-H & Youth Development Program will be awarded scholarships from the San Antonio Exposition, Inc. Scholarships must be used for a major in Agriculture and Life Sciences as approved by the San Antonio Livestock Exposition, Inc. (see Accepted Majors list below).

Criteria to apply for this scholarship:
-4-H member in good standing with Bexar County 4-H
-completed recordbook for the 2011-2012 year
-plans to attend a Texas college or university
-Scholarship Verification Form (available on our website)
-SALE Scholarship Application Form (available on our website)
-major in Agriculture or Life Science
-copy of your degree plan
-copy of your SAT/ACT score
-have not received $10,000 or more from 4-H Foundation, FFA or SALE

To apply for this scholarship, you must turn in a completed recordbook (original and 3 copies) for the current year, completed Scholarship Verification form, SALE Scholarship Application form, a copy of your degree plan and SAT/ACT scores. Record book and required forms will be due in our office June, 2012 (date to be announced).

San Antonio Rural Youth Award

The Texas 4-H and Youth Development Program is pleased to have the San Antonio Livestock Exposition provide up to 20 Rural Youth Awards to the members of the Texas 4-H and Youth Development Program. These awards are designed for active and enrolled Texas 4-H Members who are at least 16 years of age (as of August 31, 2010) and a junior or senior in high school. The award includes a $1,000 scholarship. Download the rules and guidelines and also download the application in PDF format or download the application in Microsoft Word format. Peggy Coleman 4-H Horse Leaders Scholarship

The Bexar County 4-H Horse Leaders give scholarships to graduating seniors each year. To be eligible for this scholarship, you must be an active member of Bexar County 4-H, shown at the Bexar County Junior Livestock Horse Show and one Bexar County 4-H Open Qualifying Horse Show, submit an essay giving the background and extracurricular involving equine activities, official high school transcript, two (2) letters of recommendation and a completed recordbook. Watch for the 2012 due date!

Twelve $1,000 scholarships are available for graduating seniors. 4-H applicants must meet eligibility requirements listed here.
