- Prune spring flowering shrubs after they have flowered. Avoid excessive cutting except where it’s necessary to control size.
- Acclimate any transplants by placing the plants outdoors, out of direct sun and wind for a couple of days before moving them into full sun.
- Pinch the spent blooms back on annuals and perennials to encourage new flowers to form.
- Check new tender growth for aphids on annuals and perennials.
