Beekeeping 101

March 25 @ 9:00 am - 4:00 pm

$65.00

Interested in Beekeeping, but need some information to get started?  We’ll get you started, teaching the basics of beekeeping to get you prepared to have your own hives.  This program is meant for those with little to absolutely not experience with beekeeping!

What we cover: honey bee biology, beekeeping equipment, suit options, managing a hive, and pests and disease management of honey bees.  You’ll learn what to expect those first early years as a beekeeper!

A hands on field day to a beekeeper’s yard will be held March 26 (and 27th if extra sessions needed) in Leon Springs This is where you will learn the most about beekeeping! Must sign a medical release waiver to participate. Bee suit provided.  Directions to apiary given on Friday.

Limited to 29 registrants.  Lunch included.

The registration fee also includes access to the virtural series! (March 28, 29, April 6 & 7)
