Fresh Texas-grown grapefruit are still available in the markets. Gift boxes of “No. 1 Grade” grapefruit make a great treat and can be shipped from the Rio Grande Valley to anywhere in the world.

Refrain from pruning freeze damaged stems and perennial flowers till late February. They will provide some insulation for the plant through the rest of the winter.

Mow winter weeds to keep them in check which also prevents them from flowering and setting any seeds.

Provide water and supplement feed for birds if you want them to stick around next season.
