If seeding is desired in establishing or renovating a lawn in full sun, sow Blackjack Bermuda at a rate of one pound for every 400 square feet of area.

Fertilize tomatoes when the first fruits set. Spread half a cup of 19-5-9 slow release lawn fertilizer around each plant’s drip line every third week.

When onion tops collapse over, it’s time to reap the benefits. Pull the bulbs to the surface of the garden for a day to harden off and then store them in mesh bags in a dry room.

Okra seeds or transplants, as well as sweet potato slips, will thrive with warmer weather.
