GARDENING CALENDAR

TEXAS AGRILIFE EXTENSION SERVICE

BEXAR COUNTY BY DAVID RODRIGUEZ

With the spring garden finishing up, now is the time to plan for next spring’s vegetable garden. What when well and what can improve. Remember, we grow a wonderful fall and winter garden here too.

Remove old, diseased or spider mite ridden vegetables from the spring vegetable garden. Do not compost any diseased plants.

Prune out old blackberry canes (the ones that bore fruit this year) to make way for the new canes.

Properly installing and maintaining an automatic sprinkler system, instantly adds value to your home. While protecting your gardening and landscaping investment as well as saving time and water.
