- Use a water-soluble plant food such as a 20-20-20 or 6-12-6 analysis for the first four waterings of recently planted annuals and perennials.
- With all this recent rains, maintain your roses with a spray program. Use appropriate fungicides and insecticides every ten to fourteen days throughout the growing season.
- Caladium bulbs and gladiolus corms may be planted now. Incorporate liberal amounts of organic matter and fertilizer at initial planting.
- Look for powdery mildew on Crape Myrtles. Treat organically with Neem Oil. Read labels carefully before application.
- Pinch the tips back on Bougainvilleas to keep them thick and lush.
