What Kind of License Will This Class Provide?
When you pass your examination with a grade of 70 or higher, you can submit for a Private Applicator License to be used on agricultural lands. To maintain your license current, you will need to earn 15 Continuing Education Units (CEUs) within a five year period. If you are not able to earn your 15 CEUs within a five year period, your license will not be renewed. This license cannot be used for commercial, governmental, or for-hire applicators. Some landscape professionals must obtain a license from the Texas Structural Pest Control Board.

The study manuals can be purchased for $50 in advance from the Extension Office. Make check/money order payable to “Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service”. A $10 registration fee will be collected on the day of the training.

Attendees: Beginning in June 2014, examination will no longer be available after the training at the Extension office. Texas Department of Agriculture (TDA) is starting a new computer-based testing program for Private Applicators. Examination will be conducted at a location approved by TDA and examination will be done online. For more information on this, contact TDA at 210 820-0288.
