  • With many of us sodding our lawns this spring, consider planting Tiff Way 419 Bermudagrass, Floratam St. Augustine, and Palisades Zoysia in the full sun.  Palmetto and Del Mar St. Augustine are somewhat adapted to partial shade condition.
  •  Yes, turfgrasses has its place in the landscape, especially when it comes to recreational purposes.  However, the modern day landscape should utilize less turfgrass and add more flowerbeds, vegetable and herb gardens as well as hard-scaped areas.
  •  Need help in deciding what and when to plant in the spring vegetable garden?  Go to your local Texas AgriLife Extension Service vegetable list at:
  •  We all need to be better stewards of our landscape environment.  You can!  Simply take the Earth-Kind Challenge at http://aggie-horticulture.tamu.edu/earthkind/.
