- Plant Swiss chard, garlic, lettuce, and collards in your fall garden.
- Plant cool season annuals for color such as flowering kale, Dianthus, snapdragon, and pansies.
- Begin to prepare house plants that you have had outside to be brought in by reducing fertilizer and water. Carefully check plants for insects and treat any pests that you find.
- Collect seeds from your favorite plants, store in a cool dry place and save for next year. Remember to label them with the name and date that you collected them.
