- Rake live oak leaves and compost them for future gardening.
- Before making new flowerbeds, kill all the grass. Use products containing glyphosate. Fusilade is specific for killing Bermuda grass.
- Spray pecan trees with zinc to prevent rosette and provide a healthy canopy to the tree
- Prune spring flowering shrubs and trees after they bloom.
