Horticulture Fruit Tree planting season is upon us:

‘La Feliciana’ is the best peach variety for this part of the state.

Recommended blackberry varieties include Brazos, Rosborough, and Kiowa. Natchez is the newest selection available and is thornless.

Three reliable fig selections are Alma, Celeste, and Texas Everbearing.

The best pear trees to plant are selections which have Fire Blight Resistance. This includes Fan-Stil, Fan-Cris, Orient and Warren.
