  • If you have a problem with aphids, try using ladybugs as a natural control. Release ladybugs early in the morning. If you release them during the warmth of the day, they will fly away and your neighbors will be enjoying them instead of you.
  • Now it’s the time to plant caladiums and gladiolus corms.
  • If you re-use pots, it’s best to clean them with a one part bleach and nine parts water. This will sanitize them and prevent diseases.
  • If you have plants that are showing iron chlorosis (yellowing leaves with green veins), use a chelated iron product. Do not get product on sidewalks or driveways because of staining.
