Control caterpillar damage on leafy green vegetables with liquid Bacillus thuringiensis var. kurstaki or Spinosad.

Overseed with ‘Greyhound’ or ‘Pantera’ rye grass at a rate of one pound per every 50 to 100 square feet on bare spots or well-established Bermuda lawns for that green look throughout winter.

Add spinach transplants to your fall/winter garden.

Majestic pansies are the most attractive cool season annual to plant for fall and winter color. Pansies require a well-drained soil and at least half a day of sun exposure. It is best to use transplants, as seeds are small and difficult to handle.
