Apply new, long term grub control products if you find them eating at St. Augustine roots.

  • Remove spent crape myrtle flower heads to encourage more blooming.
  • As vegetable beds become vacant, till and cover with a black plastic cover to control weeds and nematodes until fall planting.
  • Maintain mulch over the root system of young trees to increase growth rate by up to 50%.
  • In the heat of the summer, Bermuda, Buffalo and some zoysia grasses naturally become dormant until fall.
