● Spray dormant oil on fruit trees, hollies, euonymus and other shrubs for control of scale and other insect larvae.
● Prune fruit trees now. Peach trees should be pruned with an open vase-type canopy. Check with Texas Cooperative Extension for publications on proper pruning techniques.
● Water your landscape during dry winter weather. This will help prevent damage to your plants.
● Collect and mail soil samples for testing now. You can pick up a soil test kit at the County Extension office located at 3355 Cherry Ridge, Suite 212.
