September 23 (Saturday) – 2017 Fall Youth Garden Educator Training – Come join us this September for the 2017 Fall Youth Garden Educator training class! This training is designed for teachers, educators, and volunteers in support of youth gardening in the classroom and community. 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m., (8:30 am-9:00 am – Check In) at Phil Hardberger Park West Urban Ecology Center, 8400 NW Military Highway, San Antonio, TX 78231.
October 5 (Thursday) – Urban Quail Appreciation Day will be conducted at The Witte Museum (3801 Broadway Street), 8:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., providing the latest on quail habitat and ecology & management; cost is $15 and CEUs (1 general, 1 IPM) will be provided.
October 17 (Tuesday) – Dinner Tonight Healthy Cooking School will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Our Lady of the Lake University Chapel Auditorium (411 S.W. 24th Street); registration is online at $20/person.
October 20 (Friday) – Agricultural Chemical Collection Event will be held at the Wilson County Precinct #1 Yard (142 FM 536) in Floresville to dispose of old, outdated, unusable ag chemicals free of charge and in complete confidentiality; completion of an inventory form is highly encouraged.
November 2 (Thursday) – Insecta Fiesta will be held from 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the San Antonio Garden Center (3310 N. New Braunfels) — SAVE THE DATE!
