  • Dead head annual flowers to encourage new blooms.
  • Apply chelated iron to plants to correct iron deficiency. Leaves will have green veins and yellow tissue on new growth. St. Augustine grass often has this problem.
  • Plants that have green fruit or berries, such as hollies, should be watered thoroughly to prevent their fruit from dropping.
  • Bermuda grass seed can still be seeded at the rate of ½ -one pound per 1,000 square feet.
