What Is the Family Alliance Council?

PURPOSE

to acquire survival and life-coping skills.

MISSION

Identify and recruit potential volunteers who maintain a deep appreciation and understanding for the family. Many of the present volunteers are already providing educational information to families to help increase parenting skills.

To provide extensive volunteer training in order that volunteers may perform educational services reaching urban consumers and families in all areas of family matters.

Coordinate and support volunteers so that they may reach consumers with factual, research-based family and consumer sciences information, including parenting, management of resources, food and nutrition, clothing construction, food preservation, buying skills, child abuse and neglect, substance abuse, stress management information, and fathering information, to name a few.
